Why This Role Matters
As a Vonage Business Development Representative, you will:
- Drive outbound lead generation within the pre-sales process for our sales teams
- Manage the pre-sales pipeline by fostering new business relationships through outbound outreach
- Proactively qualify buying interest and identify the size/shape of potential accounts
- Distribute qualified accounts to the appropriate sales teams by setting appointments based on Vonage’s qualification criteria
- Operate within an office-based role (2 days per week) at our Basingstoke location
The Work You’ll Do
- Prospect and generate new leads to strengthen the B2B sales pipeline
- Route qualified sales opportunities to the sales team by securing in-person appointments, converting them into actionable opportunities
- Align with sales development best practices—using email, phone, and social channels with support from our enablement tools
- Master Salesforce CRM and sales engagement software
- Anticipate and overcome prospects’ objections with finesse and persistence
- Meet and exceed quotas for qualified appointments and opportunities monthly
- Expand interest with new prospects and convert leads into full-fledged opportunities
- Utilise lead generation tools to build and refine targeted contact lists
- Adhere to daily activity targets while maintaining high-energy engagement
- Champion the Vonage Brand by educating prospective clients on Vonage Business Cloud (VBC) and other solutions (e.g., Contact Center Solutions)
- Develop deep product expertise in VBC and other Vonage toolsets, equipping yourself to engage with buyers effectively.
