Business Development Representative
Business Development Rep (BDR) | AI Tech | Scale-up | London (Hybrid)
Athlete Origin are delighted to be working on behalf of an AI Tech start-up who are seeking to hire a Business Development Rep from an elite sporting background to join their growing team in the UK.
Our client is a fast-growing SaaS leader transforming how organisations win business by harnessing the power of generative AI. They’ve built a cutting-edge AI-driven platform that helps enterprise teams craft high-quality bids, proposals, tenders and grant submissions in a fraction of the time it traditionally takes – boosting productivity, compliance, and success rates across public and private sector procurement. What you’ll do
- Generating new business leads: Proactively identify and qualify leads using cutting-edge sales tools, contributing directly to the growth and success.
- Prospecting & research: Develop a deep understanding of potential clients and industries, building relationships with key decision-makers.
- Collaborative strategy: Partner with senior sales team members to refine communication strategies and develop best practices that drive successful outreach.
- Innovating & experimenting: Contribute ideas and strategies to improve the sales development process, ensuring staying ahead in the market.
- Relationship building: Nurture leads from first contact to qualified opportunity, playing an essential role in their journey with the company.
- Industry representation: Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings, enhancing personal and company brand presence.
- Market intelligence: Gather insights on trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback, shaping the sales approach.
- Reporting & analysis: Track and analyse outreach campaigns, sharing insights and contributing to team-wide improvements.

What you’ll need
- Sales enthusiasm: Genuine desire in pursuing a career in sales, with willingness to spend most time engaging with clients over the phone/virtually.
- Self-starter attitude: Confidence in working autonomously combined with initiative to seek new opportunities and solutions.
- Passion for AI & SaaS: Strong interest in technology, AI, and SaaS solutions, with desire to be part of a rapidly evolving industry.
- Comfortable working 3x per week in office in London
