Description
At Zappi, the BDR team sits within the Sales organisation and plays a key role in driving pipeline and revenue growth. We partner closely with some of the world’s leading B2C brands to help them make faster, better decisions across marketing, advertising, and innovation.
We’re a high-energy, commercially minded team that thrives on building strong relationships and opening doors with new customers. Our prospects often go on to become long-term partners who value our expertise, champion our platform, and collaborate closely with us throughout their journey.
Our dynamic and supportive team values collaboration, creativity, and individual success. We thrive on friendly competition, celebrating wins together while continuously challenging each other to grow.
About the role:
As a key member of our Business Development team, you will report to our VP of Outbound Sales and contribute directly to our company’s growth strategy. In this role, you’ll focus on identifying high-potential customers, generating new business, and executing hyper-personalized outreach campaigns to create pipeline opportunities. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and customer success, you’ll play an essential role in driving Zappi’s revenue growth and supporting our 2025 strategy.
What you'll be doing:
- Generate new business opportunities by proactively prospecting target accounts and leveraging your tech stack for effective event-based, trigger-based, and category-specific outreach. Aim for 100+ outreach actions per day across phone, LinkedIn, and email to consistently meet performance targets.
- Nurture inbound leads by engaging with prospects in a timely and strategic manner, ensuring a seamless transition from interest to meeting. Utilize your tech stack to prioritize and follow up efficiently, maximizing conversion rates.
- Develop and execute innovative outreach campaigns that align with Zappi's narrative, incorporating educational, valuable content/offers, and targeting the most relevant personas such as CMOs, VPs of Insights, and other key decision-makers within Fortune 500 accounts.
- Qualify and engage leads based on defined criteria, scheduling meetings for follow-up discovery with the sales team to further assess potential partnerships and customer needs.
- Use outbound selling best practices to uncover customer pain points, articulate the value of Zappi's solutions, and position our platform as a disruptive force in the space.
- Leverage account intelligence tools (e.g., 6Sense, Vendelux, UserGems, Sales Navigator) to prioritize high-intent accounts and design tailored engagement strategies to maximize pipeline generation and lead conversion.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to align outreach efforts, share insights from your campaigns, and optimize outreach strategies. Regularly participate in strategy discussions to refine messaging and target accounts.
- Achieve or exceed performance metrics, including monthly/quarterly targets and KPIs related to lead generation, outreach volume, and meeting conversion rates.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and Zappi’s evolving product offerings, using this knowledge to refine outreach strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Focus on hyper-personalized outreach using a variety of channels, from email to phone calls, ensuring all interactions are tailored to the unique needs of each prospect.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
