Location
This is a remote position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in the UK or Ireland.
About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) drives business growth and expands market presence by initiating strategic relationships, qualifying prospects, and developing qualified business opportunities that significantly contribute to the sales pipeline. Collaborating with marketing and sales teams, this role focuses on engaging prospects, outbound prospecting, and generating sales opportunities.

The BDR works closely with Account Executives to refine business targeting, position your value proposition, and create demand for Kinaxis’ products and services. Key responsibilities include generating high-quality leads and transitioning them to the Account Executive team.
Responsibilities
- Develop an effective sales pipeline through qualifying leads from marketing campaigns and outbound prospecting, ensuring alignment with pre-defined customer criteria.
- Prospect and engage with prospective customers using phone, email, social media, and networking events.
- Maintain strong working relationships with sales and marketing teams, aligning strategies and optimizing lead generation.
- Qualify leads through discovery processes and collaborate with Account Executives to confirm qualification criteria.
- Lead first sales meetings: engage prospects to understand their pain points and position Kinaxis as a solution.
- Provide ongoing market insights to refine strategy and enhance outbound efforts.
- Track interactions, follow-ups, and lead progress in Salesforce and Eloqua.
- Source new contacts using ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and training to stay informed about trends and competitors.
- Educate prospects on Kinaxis’ differentiated value proposition.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of proven business-to-business (B2B) experience as a sales development representative.
- Knowledge of sales, marketing, and business processes, preferable in a similar industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and collaboration skills.
- Effective time management, organization, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Salesforce, and Eloqua (asset).
- Solid verbal and written communication skills across organizational levels.
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environments, meet deadlines, and manage projects.
- Travel up to 20% as required (valid passport needed).
