Position Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Rhymetec, you’ll drive our outbound prospecting strategy, identifying and engaging potential clients through cold outreach. Key tasks include:
- Initiating contact via cold calling, emailing, and strategic outreach methods.
- Qualifying leads to refer to Account Executives.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to integrate content and campaigns into outreach.
This role is a founding UK sales position, working closely with the U.S. sales team* to build the company’s presence in the market.
*Remote collaboration with time zone differences applies.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting
- Execute cold outbound activities, including calls, emails, and social selling, to generate high-potential leads.
- Develop customized outreach strategies for target accounts and broad scripted efforts for lower-priority prospects.

Lead Development & Qualification
- Independently research and compile prospect lists (beyond pre-provided sources) using market intelligence and sales tools.
- Research prospects to understand pain points, qualify leads, and advocate for them to Account Executives.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain a detailed CRM (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot) with detailed notes on engagements.
- Ensure a touch-heavy, multi-channel outbound approach while tracking individual call/email/QTL metrics.
Account Executive Collaboration
- Partner with Account Executives to refine lead nurturing strategies and support pipeline growth.
Performance & Growth
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly outreach targets (volume of calls, emails, and qualified leads).
- Continuously upskill on:
- Industry trends in cybersecurity/data privacy.
- Rhymetec’s core value propositions.
- Competitive landscape to communicate ROI effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 1–2 years in sales, business development, or SaaS/cybersecurity-related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Skills
- Strong verbal/written communication with ability to engage warmly with unfamiliar customers.
- Tech aptitude: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation platforms (e.g., ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Applicature).
- Self-starter mentality: Proactive, results-driven, and able to drive momentum independently in a hybrid/mainly-remote setting (time zone adjustments for UK-US collaboration).
- Ability to adapt outreach strategies based on data and prospect feedback.
