Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The Business Development Representative plays a dual operational and commercial support role within IDASO. The position is responsible for coordinating survey projects from a commercial and planning perspective while supporting business development activity, tender submissions, proposal management, and client engagement.
This role acts as a key interface between Business Development, Operations, and Clients, ensuring that proposals are accurate, compliant, professionally presented, and handed over effectively to operational teams. Success in this role requires strong organisation, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The purpose of this role is to support revenue generation and project delivery by managing the end-to-end coordination of tenders, proposals, and survey project handovers. The role ensures that client requirements are correctly interpreted, documented, priced, and transitioned into operational delivery, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Proposals
- Assist UK Sales Director and wider BD Team in coordinating and managing the proposal and tender process from receipt through to submission.
- Ensure all tender documentation is complete, accurate, compliant, and submitted within deadlines.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather technical, operational, and commercial inputs for bids.
- Prepare and edit proposal documents, presentations, and supporting materials.
- Maintain accurate tender, quote, and opportunity tracking using internal CRM and trackers.
- Assist UK Sales Director in the research, writing, and updating of case studies and marketing content as required.

Survey Coordination
- Coordinate survey project handovers from Business Development to Operations teams.
- Support tender estimation and pricing input in collaboration with senior management.
- Ensure survey specifications, scope, and assumptions are clearly documented.
Client & Supplier Interaction
- Act as a professional point of contact for clients during pre-contract and early project stages.
- Manage technical, commercial, and contractual correspondence with clients and suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new professional services clients.
- Identify client needs, pain points, and potential service opportunities.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date internal records including tender trackers, project calendars, and CRM systems.
- Prepare internal reports and updates for management review.
- Support ad-hoc projects and requests from senior management as required.

- Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Support IDASO’s market presence and brand positioning through professional engagement.
Performance Expectations / KPIs
- On-time, compliant submission of tenders and proposals
- Accuracy and completeness of bid documentation
- Effective project handover to operations with minimal rework
- Quality and professionalism of client communications
- Maintenance of up-to-date CRM, tender trackers, and reports
- Contribution to successful bid win rates and pipeline visibility
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in a coordination, administration, business development support, or similar role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet business and client needs.
- Right to work in UK
Desirable
- Experience in tendering, proposals, or professional services environments.
- Exposure to construction, transport, engineering, or data services sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM systems or internal project tracking tools.
- Experience preparing presentations and client-facing documentation.
