Position Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Rhymetec, your primary responsibility will be executing our outbound prospecting strategy. You will play a pivotal role in:
- Identifying potential new clients
- Initiating contact via cold calling, emailing, and other strategic outreach methods
- Qualifying high-value leads for handover to Account Executives
- Collaborating closely with marketing, leveraging content and campaigns for enhanced outreach
(Note: This is a founding UK sales role, working in synergy with the U.S. sales team.)
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting
- Execute outreach through cold calling, emailing, and social selling to generate new business opportunities.
- Maintain high-volume, consistent outreach to cultivate a steady pipeline.
List Development
- Independently research and construct prospect lists from scratch using outbound tools and market intelligence.
- Ensure a scalable flow of high-quality leads, beyond pre-provided data.

Lead Qualification
- Conduct deep-dive research to identify potential prospects.
- Understand prospect needs, validate demand, and qualify leads as worthy candidates for Account Executives.
Targeted Outreach
- Develop customized outreach playbooks for high-target accounts.
- Adopt a scalable approach tailored for low-target accounts, tailoring messaging based on audience segmentation.
Marketing Collaboration
- Partner with the marketing team to align outbound efforts with content-driven campaigns.
- Ensure messaging is consistent, impactful, and data-backed.
Account Executive Collaboration
- Support Account Executives in lead nurturing and transitioning prospects to the advanced sales pipeline.
Pipeline Management
- Maintain an organised, up-to-date CRM with detailed records of outreach attempts and interactions.
- Track and refine campaign performance to optimise lead velocity.
Performance Reporting
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly outreach targets, including metrics on calls, emails, and qualified leads.
Industry Depth
- Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor innovations.
- Articulate clear value propositions to prospects.
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- 1-2 years in sales, business development, or consultative roles, with a preference for experience in:
- SaaS growth, cybersecurity, or working with early-stage startups.
- Strength in verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage prospects and explain Rhymetec’s unique value.
- Tech-enabled outlook, with familiarity or experience using:
- CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
- Sales automation tools (ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Amplemarket).
- Self-motivated, office-independent mindset, capable of working autonomously in remote teams across time zones.
- Proactive approach to identifying high-potential accounts.

Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.
