About the Role
As our founding Business Development Representative for EMEA, you'll play a key role in driving growth across the region. Reporting directly to the Director, Head of EMEA, this is a role with real ownership: you'll generate and qualify new business while identifying opportunities to expand and upsell within our existing accounts. It's designed for a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment—and it sets you up to grow into a quota-carrying sales position, with strong mentorship and professional development along the way.

What You'll Do
- Identify and research target companies and key personas within our ideal customer profile.
- Run thoughtful, personalized outbound outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage new prospects and existing users.
- Research and identify opportunities to expand or upsell within existing client accounts.
- See the world through our customers' eyes—understand their goals, pressures, and standards, and clearly communicate how Macabacus helps.
- Ask real discovery questions ("why" before "what") and use objection-handling to engage decision-makers and generate interest.
- Track activity and outcomes accurately in the CRM—getting the details right, especially when it matters.
- Share learnings and collaborate with sales and marketing to sharpen messaging and targeting.
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity and pipeline-generation targets.

Requirements
- Some experience in sales or customer-facing roles, or a strong interest in building a career in sales.
- Comfort reaching out to new people and starting conversations.
- Familiarity with CRMs or prospecting tools
- Bonus if you have exposure to B2B SaaS or finance workflows—we'll teach you what you need to know.
