About the Role The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a targeted, commissioned role working in the Business Development Team that forms part of our Direct Sales team. Your job will be to source and qualify Leads, converting them into Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQO) that the Sales Team can then close as Deals. You will be responsible for sourcing and managing a list of leads in order to create new opportunities with both Mid-Market and Enterprise businesses. You will form trusted relationships with Sales and BDR Management, the wider Sales team, Marketing and your Business Development Representative peers. You will have a monthly SQO target. Your commission will be based upon the quantity of SQOs you pass to the Sales team that are accepted. To succeed in this role, you'll work the Leads in your name in the CRM quickly and efficiently. Time on the phone speaking to prospects is a critical success indicator. Conversations will relate to the Prospect's email, SMS, and multichannel marketing automation needs, so awareness of marketing principles and strategies is a big bonus. Native-level communication in English (written and spoken) You will be part of the Sales Team, so excellent written, verbal, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are a must. Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You can cope with pressure without affecting your performance or decision-making. Bonus Points if you have: Previous experience in other high-pressure environments (e.g. competitive sports) Some experience in a professional environment where contact with prospects and customers is a constant. Ideally in a sales environment.
