BDR [AI-Native]
Company: Curation
Website: www.curationcorp.com
Location: London
Department: Sales & Growth
Reports to: Head of Curation Connect (Enterprise Division)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 base | up to 50% OTE through meetings booked and pipeline generated
👋🏼 About Us
Curation is breaking barriers in traditional finance — disrupting the way investment stories are told.
Curation connects public listed companies with retail investors, restoring balance to capital markets that have tilted heavily toward institutions. We use AI-driven content, a trusted retail investor network and real engagement data to bring a company’s equity story to the full breadth of the market. The result: broader ownership, deeper liquidity, and a retail strategy that complements everything a company is already doing.
We're scaling revenues at >100% YoY, targeting a UK Series A in the next two years, and building an AI-first investment platform with a genuinely unique moat. You'll join a flat, high-ownership culture at a moment where what you build here will define how we grow.
🏃🏼 The Role
This is not a traditional BDR role.
You'll be the architect of Curation Connect's outbound engine — building the AI-powered systems, workflows, and sequences that generate qualified pipeline for our Head of Sales to close. Roughly 60% of your time is building and iterating the machine; 40% is running it: researching prospects, writing sharp outreach, booking calls, and keeping the CRM running smoothly.
You'll work directly with Calum (Head of Curation Connect), with no layers between you and the person making decisions. The signals you bring back from the market will directly shape how we sell, position, and price.
This is a rare opportunity to be the first dedicated sales hire at a fintech with genuine traction — and to build the outbound function from scratch using the best AI tooling available.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

✏️ What You'll Own
-
Build the outbound engine
Design and build AI-powered lead generation workflows using Claude, Notion, and other sales/lead-gen tools — enrichment waterfalls, signal-based targeting, ICP scoring.
Set up and manage outbound infrastructure: email domains, deliverability monitoring, sending tools (Instantly/Smartlead), and sequencing.
Build prospect lists from scratch — no inherited databases, no spray and pray. Precision targeting of IR Directors, CFOs, and CEO/Board Members at publicly listed UK and US companies. -
Run the outbound motion
Write and test outreach sequences across email and LinkedIn. Iterate based on open rates, reply rates, and meeting quality — not just volume.
Monitor buying signals: fundraises, leadership changes, earnings announcements, investor day activity. Use these to time and personalise outreach.
Book qualified discovery calls for Calum, and own the handoff — structured notes, context, and prep so every call lands. -
Own the CRM and pipeline
Keep CRM clean, accurate, and useful. Your data discipline makes the whole team sharper.
Treat CRM hygiene and accuracy as a key KPI — ensure stages, fields, and notes are consistently up to date.
Track what's working and what isn't. Feed insights back into messaging, ICP definition, and targeting every week.
👀 What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role in B2B SaaS, fintech, or financial services.
- Genuinely AI-native — you use AI tools daily, not occasionally. You understand how to build agentic workflows that replace manual work at scale, not just use ChatGPT to write emails.
- Hands-on experience with outbound tooling: You've built sequences, not just executed them. Notion expertise is ideal.
- Sharp written communicator — you can write a cold email that actually gets a reply from a CFO at a listed company. No templates, no clichés.
- High agency — you don't wait for a list to be handed to you. You go build one.
- Curious about investing and markets. You don't need to be an expert, but you need to be able to hold a credible conversation with an IR Director.
- Builder mindset — the idea of designing a system from zero excites you more than inheriting a playbook.
