Business Development Representative (FTC 9–12 Months)

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid) or Remote UK

About Teletrac Navman

Teletrac Navman is a global provider of telematics and connected mobility solutions, helping businesses improve fleet performance, safety, and efficiency. We work with a wide range of enterprise customers across sectors including transport, construction and services, delivering technology and insight that helps them achieve measurable business outcomes.

Are you the type of person who picks up the phone when others hesitate?

If you're someone who gets a buzz from picking up the phone, enjoys speaking with people, isn't afraid of hearing "no", and wants to spend the next 9–12 months learning from experienced professionals, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a driven, curious and resilient Business Development Representative who thrives on creating new opportunities through outbound prospecting.

This is not a role for someone who waits for opportunities to come to them. It's for someone who enjoys starting conversations, uncovering business challenges, overcoming objections and turning a cold prospect into a qualified sales opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You'll be the first impression many potential customers have of Teletrac Navman, helping organisations discover solutions that improve efficiency, safety and performance across their operations. As a key part of our marketing and sales engine, you'll play a critical role in generating demand and building pipeline for our sales team.
  • Making high-volume outbound prospecting calls and emails to engage new business prospects
  • Identifying customer pain points, challenges and business objectives through meaningful conversations
  • Qualifying opportunities and scheduling discovery meetings for our sales specialists
  • Building rapport and creating a world-class first impression for prospective customers
  • Nurturing prospects through multiple touchpoints until they are sales-ready
  • Handling objections confidently and professionally
  • Working closely with Account Executives to develop and grow pipeline opportunities
  • Using tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, 6Sense and other sales technologies to maximise effectiveness
  • Maintaining consistent activity levels to achieve and exceed monthly targets and KPIs
  • Continuously developing your sales, product and industry knowledge through coaching and training opportunities

What Success Looks Like

You'll enjoy this role if you:

  • Love making outbound calls and starting conversations
  • Are energised by targets, goals and healthy competition
  • Can confidently explain concepts and communicate value
  • Listen carefully and uncover what's really causing customer challenges
  • Stay motivated even when hearing "no"
  • See objections as opportunities rather than roadblocks
  • Enjoy learning and actively seek coaching and feedback
  • Hungry to learn, improve and grow
  • Take ownership of your own performance and results

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
