About the role:
Every marketing decision starts with a question. At ScanmarQED, we help the world’s leading brands answer the ones that matter most: where should we invest, what’s actually working, and what should we do next?
We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our London team and help fuel the next stage of our growth. This is a junior role with serious scope — you’ll be the first voice many prospective clients hear, and you’ll play a direct part in building the pipeline that drives new business.
You don’t need a degree or years of experience. What you do need is drive, curiosity, and a genuine interest in how marketing and technology intersect. If you’re the kind of person who’d rather figure out how to automate a task than do it manually for the hundredth time, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the top of the sales funnel — researching target accounts, identifying the right people, and opening conversations through cold outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, video)
- Qualifying inbound and outbound leads by understanding their challenges and mapping them to what ScanmarQED can solve
- Booking and setting up meetings for the UK General Manager and senior team with prospective clients
- Keeping the CRM (HubSpot) accurate and up to date — every opportunity tracked, every interaction logged
- Collaborating with marketing on campaigns and with consultants to sharpen your understanding of our solutions
- Experimenting with AI tools and automation to make your outreach smarter, faster, and more personal
- Learning the MarTech and marketing analytics landscape — we’ll give you access to subject matter experts and structured training to get you up to speed

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for:
The essentials:
- You’re a strong communicator — clear, confident, and comfortable picking up the phone or writing a compelling email
- You’re self-motivated and thrive with autonomy. You don’t wait to be told what to do next
- You’re resilient. Outbound sales involves hearing “no” a lot — you see that as useful data, not a setback
- You’re curious about AI and actively look for ways to use technology to work smarter
- You’re organised, reliable, and follow through on what you commit to
It’d be great if you also have:
- Some experience in B2B sales, customer-facing roles, or outbound outreach (even if it’s informal or freelance)
- Familiarity with a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- An interest in marketing, analytics, or the MarTech industry
- Experience using sales engagement tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Cognism, etc.)
- Comfort with data — you don’t need to be an analyst, but you’re not intimidated by numbers
You don’t need:
- A degree — we care about what you can do, not what’s on your certificate
- Years of experience — this is a role where we’ll invest in your development
- Deep MarTech knowledge on day one — curiosity and willingness to learn matter more
What we offer:
- Competitive salary (£30,000–£35,000 base) plus commission on pipeline generated, with realistic OTE of £40,000–£48,000
- Hybrid working — at least 2 days per week in our London office, with flexibility on the rest
- Structured training in our products, services, and the marketing analytics space
- Access to AI tools and encouragement to experiment with automation in your workflows
- A friendly, informal, international team that takes the work seriously but not themselves
- Real visibility — you’ll work closely with the UK General Manager and have a direct line to senior leadership
- Clear career progression into more senior commercial roles as you grow
