My client, a highly reputable large global law firm, is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join its London-based Business Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded BD professional to play a key role in supporting strategic business development and marketing initiatives across a number of high-profile practice areas, including Investment Funds & Private Capital, ESG and Private Equity.

Working closely with lawyers and business services professionals both in London and internationally, you will support client development activities, pitches and proposals, market profile-raising initiatives, events, and strategic growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, preparation, and implementation of business development and marketing initiatives across the London office.
  • Produce, coordinate, and manage pitches, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Collaborate with global BD colleagues on client, sector, and industry-focused initiatives.
  • Assist with the delivery of seminars, sponsorships, and client events.
  • Lead and support legal directory and awards submissions, including drafting content, managing referee processes, and coordinating follow-up activity.
  • Prepare and maintain marketing collateral, presentations, and business development materials.
  • Maintain deal and matter experience databases and marketing information.
  • Conduct market, client, and competitor research to identify opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding initiatives for new lawyers and support wider BD and marketing projects as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
