Business Development Senior Executive, Transactional and Banking & Finance – MEA
The Business Development Senior Executive, Transactional and Banking & Finance – MEA will act as a Business Development and Marketing Senior Executive aligned to the Transactional and Banking & Finance Practice Groups within the Middle East and Africa (MEA) Market Grouping.
The role-holder will support the delivery of Practice Group and Market priorities, working closely with partners and BDMC colleagues to drive demand, strengthen client relationships and win profitable work across MEA, while ensuring alignment with regional strategy and best practice.
Main responsibilities:
Pitches & pursuits:
- Support and lead on pitch and pursuit activity across MEA, working closely with partners and BD colleagues to help win profitable work
BD delivery & execution:
- Plan and execute BD activities aligned to Market Grouping and Practice Group priorities, ensuring focus on high-value opportunities and return on investment
Client and market insight:
- Maintain and develop client and prospect information, and use available tools (including AI-enabled solutions) to generate actionable client and market insights

Materials & credentials:
- Develop and maintain high-quality practice materials, credentials and deal experience to support pitches and profile-raising
Profile raising & campaigns:
- Support the delivery of marketing campaigns, events, sponsorships and thought leadership to enhance the Practice Group’s profile
- Work with communications and other BDMC teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging
Directories, awards & submissions:
- Support the preparation of submissions, working closely with the central directories and awards team
Client development & cross-selling:
- Support client targeting and development initiatives, and help identify and facilitate cross-selling opportunities across MEA and broader regions
Collaboration & alignment:
- Work closely with BDMC, KM and Research teams to align activity with Practice Group strategy and leverage best practice and insight across the Firm
Wider team contribution:
- Contribute to broader office and Market Group initiatives as required
Skills and experience:

- Educated to degree level
- Strong written and verbal communications skills; Excellent written and spoken English is required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A collegiate approach and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset, and with attention to detail
- An appreciation of, and experience of matrix working across multiple offices/countries
- Respects and enjoys the diversity of cultural, social, and academic backgrounds found in the Firm
- Flexible around working hours, taking into account the work week in Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia
Location: Johannesburg, or Belfast and Manila Centers Reports to: The MEA Lead for Transactional and Banking & Finance, but with close functional working relationship with the Market Grouping Lead, other BD colleagues in the Market Grouping, and appropriate lawyers Travel requirements: Limited, although may be required where absolutely necessary for events or meetings Position type: Regional Development framework: Specialist
