About the Role
At RippleX, our mission is to catalyse the growth of the Internet of Value by empowering developers and institutions worldwide. As Business Development Director (Capital Markets), you’ll combine executive partnership formation with strategic operational leadership, supporting senior stakeholders while driving institutional adoption of XRP Ledger (XRPL) as the backbone of tomorrow’s capital markets.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll be the architect of Ripple’s Capital Markets strategy, balancing strategic foresight with actionable execution. Your work will directly influence Ripple’s global growth and position the company as a leader in institutional blockchain adoption. Key priorities include:

Nurture Ripple’s Capital Markets Blueprint:
- Define and execute a clear, results-driven strategy that ensures capital markets adoption of XRPL as the leading blockchain infrastructure
- Set institutional readiness priorities that align stakeholder interests with XRPL’s technical and business potential
- Align initiatives with XRP Ledger technology’s evolving roadmap and broader Ripple mission

Build and Lead Strategic Partnerships:
- Develop and nurture high-level relationships with investment banks, asset managers, market infrastructure firms, and digital asset custodians
- Collaborate with senior decision-makers on multi-year partnership frameworks, including tokenization use cases, blockchain financial instruments, and capital markets integrations
- Secure institutional buy-in as Ripple launches new Crypto Bridges, market-outdocs, and other capital markets products

Drive Adoption in Traditional Capital Markets:
- Identify white space opportunities where blockchain can solve unmet needs in fixed income, treasury management, OTC trading, or securities transactions
- Investigate how XRPL-based solutions can augment (or replace) legacy systems in compliance, settlement, liquidity management, and trade financing
- Explore pilots and proofs-of-concept with strategic partners to demonstrate XRPL’s advantages in these areas

Manage Complex Partnership Deals:
- Take ownership of enterprise partnership pipelines from discovery through deal execution
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with senior investment banking and trading executives, presenting Ripple’s services as superior alternatives (or ingredients) for capital markets infrastructure
- Guide diplomat-labelled proposals, commercial truck-level agreements (clarifying inter-operability, node hosting, API contracts, and financial incentives), and strategic roadmaps aligned to ecosystem goals

Advocate Collaboratively with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work directly with product leadership to define click-capped use cases that meet institutional client needs—aligning tokenomics, XRPL Ledger features, middleware, and developer support
- Engage continuously with trading, marketing, legal and regulatory teams to address technical and operational questions Investments/buyers may have about onboarding and product choices
- Facilitate the interplay between blockchain advantages and the framework that ensures robustness for these use cases in core capital markets

Communicate Ripple’s Vision as a Thought Leader:
- Be an authoritative voice in how XRPL solves pain points in capital markets—articulate technical advancements without jargon, positioning Ripple at the nexus of public engagement and public blockchain innovation movements
- Conduct media outreach and speaking engagements, positioning Ripple research whites such as Pioneer Paper, impactful pilots (in partnership with high-profile financial institutions, so vs. mere speed, positioned steering segmentation), and markets benefit
- Enable XRP Foundation’s macro outreach efforts by sharing executive-new-hire-aware insights & leadership strategy insights

Monitor Industry Trends and Capital Markets Advancements:
- Keep abrest of competing designs by other ledgers & what lenders, brokers, or wealth managers are humming novel tokens and innovations (e.g. LST, folding, liquidity consolidation, or native tools for money-co-related transactions)
- Provide recommendations on capability gaps, how Ripple could leverage financial resources or talented nodes to bring selectively-advanced, work economic benefits
What You’ll Bring
Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant experience, predominantly within global capital markets, including roles in investment banks, trading firms, Asset Managers, or market infrastructure providers (clearing, settlement, corporate treasury, etc.)
- Institutional digital assets expertise—understanding how banking treasury, CFOs, and regulatory bodies approach capital efficiency, compliance, security, and digital asset integration legacy modern friction
- Track record of developing tailor-made solutions for complex client challenges—successfully executed first-of-kin services with exceptionally long-standing engagement (e.g. $100k/min investment, Fees to f$1M+, different institutional partners)
Skills & Competencies:
- Mastery of a truncatedish suite of solutions (but not commoditized blockchains) ability to contrast Ripple’s benefits vs. Solana, defi vs. traditions (e.g. DEA, smart contract upgrades, compliance automation, and hardware capacity arbitrage)
- Not just visionary but evidenced talent to prioritize key deal focuses certave conditions subtle, yet effectively nudging deals from Deal boundaries towards greenfields (XR Leashing, entity brands on their honour-based collection model, or orchestration vs. order)—While never losing analytic footprints
- Musical gift to the pipeline, reactive and persuasive, with an unfailing ability to adept facilitation and strategy of opinion-building to drive funding, team build, and subsequent expansion from initial pilot to full scale
- As an ambivalent inside/outside member, ease to translate technical capabilities clear and valuable tech personas on broader capital markets trades (i.e. NGOs, exchanges, and client(sspecified) initiatives) for private equity or public markets amidst failure patterns
- Experience launching digital asset initiatives, channel-building for B2 (B2B in digital assets or tokenáni/applications), or without assistance growing corporate positions (e.g. institutional electric risk planning)
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively at C-level with a dominance brand. Can articulate strategy-orchestrating attention metrics (buying agreement, scale in particular specialization skills) with financial astuteness
