The Work
At RippleX, we’re on a mission to catalyze the growth of the Internet of Value by empowering developers and institutions worldwide. As a Business Development Director, you’ll hold a dual role: driving individual partnership deals while providing critical support to senior leadership. This unique opportunity allows you to lead at the forefront of blockchain innovation—managing your own partnerships in financial institutions and enterprises alongside building infrastructure that scales our global business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Execution
- Contribute to the development and execution of RippleX’s Capital Markets strategy, aligning priorities with overall team and business objectives and positioning XRPL as a leader in institutional capital markets applications.
- Stay at the forefront of industry advancements and regulatory developments, turning insights into actionable strategies.
Partnership and Deal Development
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with investment banks, investment firms, financial market infrastructure providers, and other capital markets institutions to drive adoption of blockchain solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities at the intersection of traditional capital markets and blockchain technology, expanding XRPL’s ecosystem into institutional finance.
- Lead complex deal negotiations and partnership agreements with senior executives in major financial institutions, managing the entire lifecycle—from initiation to closure.

Collaboration and Solution Development
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, and trading teams at Ripple to develop use cases, solutions, and product-market fit tailored for capital markets applications.
- Develop comprehensive business plans, proposals, and pitches to attract potential partners and effectively communicate Ripple’s value proposition to institutional audiences.
Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement
- Serve as a thought leader on blockchain applications in capital markets, representing Ripple at industry events and with key stakeholders.
- Advise strategic decisions and partnerships using your deep insights into capital markets and blockchain adoption trends.
Requirements
A dynamic candidate will bring:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in capital markets, with strong traditional finance credentials (e.g., investment banks, trading firms, asset managers, or market infrastructure roles).
- Demonstrated expertise in digital assets, blockchain technology, and their applications in institutional finance.
- A proven track record of developing and closing first-of-kind partnerships in financial services, with substantial deal-making and relationship management experience.
- Well-established networks within capital markets, including senior executives and influential industry partners.
- Strong business development skills, capable of managing end-to-end deal lifecycles—from strategy and pipeline management to negotiation and implementation.
- Ability to rapidly assess sophisticated technology products and articulately communicate their value to executive and institutional audiences.
- Strategic and analytical thinking paired with collaborative selling acumen and a history of launching or scaling new businesses.
