We are currently looking for an Business Development Manager ICS – London & South East to join us at Wavin. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Reporting to the Head of Sales - ICS, the Business Development Manager ICS – London & South East will be the key point of contact for Wavin ICS towards customers. It is combining market knowhow with business sense. This skill is particularly important as we embark on the Upstream market focus. The role is also responsible for developing and securing upstream specification opportunities through engagement with architects, consulting engineers, developers and key project stakeholders, ensuring Wavin ICS products and solutions are designed into projects at the earliest possible stage and retained through to project completion.

The role

  • Develop and execute a specification strategy for the UK market, targeting architects, consulting engineers, M&E consultants, developers and other key project influencers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architectural practices, engineering consultancies and design teams to ensure Wavin ICS solutions are considered and specified at the earliest stages of project development.
  • Secure specification of Wavin ICS products and integrated system solutions within project designs, driving upstream engagement and increasing project conversion rates.
  • Provide technical presentations, CPD sessions, design support and application guidance to specifiers, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation and project requirements.
  • Identify, track and influence project opportunities from concept through to construction, ensuring specifications are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Building Design Services, Sales, Product Management and Marketing teams to develop specification tools, BIM content, technical documentation and value propositions that support specification success.
  • Establish Wavin as a trusted technical partner within the specification community, promoting integrated heating, cooling, ventilation and heat network solutions.
  • Ensures B&I develops from being a commodity component supplier to a system and solutions provider
  • Acts as local application expert for the ICS portfolio, being the link between BU (LPM/TPM) and commercial sales organisation in the UK

The profile

The postholder will possess:

  • Sales background with an entrepreneurial mindset (“outbound PM focus”). Strong desire to develop, learn and set new standards
  • Good understanding of the residential construction industry (developers, specifiers, builders) including building design with significant knowledge of Heat Interface markets
  • Deep knowledge of the UK climate solutions market opportunities and challenges as well as legislation drivers and subsidy schemes for new build as well as renovation
  • Engineering knowhow with business sense. This skill is particularly important as we embark the Upstream market focus (can also be prefab and direct)
  • A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to act tactfully in a complex environment
