Role Description
The Business Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based near Creatside Limited’s head office. This position focuses on:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and client relationship management.
- Aligning service offerings with technical teams to meet customer demands.
- Driving growth via strategy development, sales pipeline support, and CRM management.

Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to uncover prospects and industry trends.
- Prepare business proposals and client presentations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to refine service solutions.
- Manage and nurture leads in CRM tools (e.g., tracking communication, documentation).
- Monitor sales performance metrics and align initiatives with broader business strategies.
- Provide actionable insights to shape future development strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Analytical & Market Research Skills – Ability to assess opportunities, interpret industry shifts, and drive data-driven decisions.
- Communication & Customer Service – Proficient at engaging clients, clarifying technical queries, and fostering long-term relationships.
- Lead Generation & Business Development – Proven track record in sourcing B2B leads, qualifying opportunities, and advancing sales cycles within technical/engineering sectors.
- Organisation & Time Management – Must balance multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous records.
- Technical Industry Affinity – Familiarity with technical, electrical, or engineering services preferenceably (no formal electrical certification required, but understanding helps).

Technical Proficiencies
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and office productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., commercial, project management, engineering).
Educational Background
- Degree or equivalent in business, marketing (or related field) or equivalent hands-on expertise in a business development role.
Logistics
- Must operate from Aylesbury for regular on-site commitments to support operations.
