Business Development Specialist
We're looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our Intercruises team in Australia, where you'll play a key role in developing our cruise business and creating unforgettable shore experiences for our guests.
The role will be advertised until 24th of July 2026.

About The Job
You'll be responsible for the commercial development of the Australian cruise business for assigned clients and managing commercial relationships with suppliers.

We need you to:
- Prepare financial and content proposals according to client specifications and deadlines, achieving competitive rates and attractive margins through negotiation.
- Communicate with cruise line clients concerning ongoing Requests for Proposal as well as Ad Hoc Quotation requests, and acquire new cruise business by participating in RFPs.
- Source and identify new tour products and experiences to enhance the Intercruises portfolio and aligned with brand and guest expectations.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with tour operators and suppliers.
- Manage the end-to-end supplier contracting process and rate negotiations, ensuring all agreements, compliance documents, and requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct site inspections and participate in familiarisation trips when required.
About You
- Proven experience in the travel industry, preferably with cruise experience, along with a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and tourism trends in Australia.
- Experience in sales or account management, ideally in the tourism industry, with a strong commercial mindset and proven negotiation skills.
- Track record of successful deal closures and building strategic partnerships, and you're curious and proactive in sourcing new products and experiences.
- Collaborative team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Great organisation and time management skills mean you can work independently, and you've got solid knowledge of digital tools like Salesforce.
- Passion for travel, destinations, and delivering exceptional guest experiences shines through in everything you do.
