Business Engagement & Service Improvement Manager
About the Role
Are you an experienced leader in service improvement, project management, or change management with a passion for delivering better outcomes for customers and colleagues?
We're looking for a Business Engagement & Service Improvement Manager to lead a team focused on identifying opportunities for change, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer and colleague insights are at the heart of everything we do.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Service Improvement Coordinators and Root Cause Analysts
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to identify and deliver meaningful improvements across the organisation
- Strengthen Root Cause Analysis capability by ensuring robust methodologies and evidence-based approaches
- Generate insight and drive buy-in for sustainable service improvements
- Work closely with colleagues in Customer Experience, Insights, and People & Organisational Development
- Turn customer and colleague feedback into actionable recommendations for service improvements
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lasting change
- Collaborate with operational leaders to shape change initiatives
- Support the development of business cases and articulate drivers for regulatory, compliance, operational, or strategic improvements
- Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders on opportunity assessment and prioritisation
- Champion continuous improvement across the organisation
- Provide tools, frameworks, and guidance for problem-solving and change initiatives
- Facilitate workshops, reviews, gap analyses, and working groups
- Empower teams to investigate challenges and deliver sustainable change
- Work alongside the Head of Change & Service Improvement to:
- Forecast, prioritise, and sequence change activities within the wider portfolio
- Ensure change initiatives are strategically aligned, well-governed, and deliver measurable benefits
- Manage stakeholder expectations (scope, resources, delivery timescales)

- Proven experience leading service improvement, business engagement, change, or continuous improvement teams
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience developing Root Cause Analysis capability
- Track record of turning insight into meaningful operational and customer outcomes
- Exceptional communication and collaboration across all organisational levels
- Passion for building organisational capability in problem-solving, service design, and continuous improvement
- (Bonus) Knowledge of the social housing sector
- Commitment to making a positive difference for customers and colleagues
