Croda Business Finance Analyst

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Business Finance Analyst. This role will support the Commercial Business Finance team in delivering high-quality financial insight, reporting, and analysis to enable informed business decision-making. You will play a key role in helping the business understand performance drivers through the delivery of robust reporting and analysis, supporting financial planning, performance reviews, and commercial decision-making.
This role is suited to a part-qualified or newly qualified finance professional looking to develop within a commercially focused finance environment and build a career in business partnering.
You Will Bring
Who We’re Looking For:
- Part-qualified or newly qualified finance professional (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- A commercially minded approach, with curiosity and a desire to understand business performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into clear business insight.
- Experience of financial reporting, KPI analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis.
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills, with confidence working with large datasets (experience or interest in GenAI would be beneficial).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the preparation and delivery of month-end reporting and financial performance analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes through analysis, reporting, and financial insight.
- Carry out variance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities against budgets, forecasts, and prior performance.
- Translate financial analysis into meaningful insights to support business and operational leaders.
- Support continuous improvement in financial reporting, analysis, and business processes.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Respond to internal data and reporting requests across the business.
