Job Title - Business Head - UK (Transportation Business Unit)
Location - Coventry, UK

Role Purpose
The Business Head – UK will take absolute ownership of the Transportation Business Unit (TBU) operations, commercial performance, and P&L across the United Kingdom. This high-impact, customer-facing executive role demands a strategic leader who can drive delivery governance, pioneer customer expansion, and strengthen partnerships with major UK-based automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. The successful candidate will transition customer engagements from transactional capacity supply to high-value, outcome-based engineering partnerships, leveraging a robust global delivery model.
Key Responsibilities

P&L & Commercial Governance
- Own end-to-end P&L accountability for the UK TBU, including revenue growth, gross margins, and overall profitability.
- Maintain strict commercial excellence through accurate rolling revenue forecasting and disciplined budget management.

Customer Relationship & Strategic Growth
- Serve as the primary executive interface for anchor UK automotive clients, strengthening deep relationships with OEMs, Tier-1s, and engineering leadership stakeholders.
- Drive delivery-led mining and proactive business development to scale existing accounts and secure new market opportunities.
- Positioning the organization as a premier, strategic technology partner rather than a mere capacity or staffing supplier.

Delivery Governance & Operations
- Oversee end-to-end program health and delivery predictability across all active UK projects.
- Enforce rigorous quality standards, execution timeliness, and resourcing discipline.
- Serve as the ultimate regional escalation authority, ensuring swift resolution of delivery bottlenecks and sustained customer satisfaction.

- Architect and champion an agile operating model that flawlessly bridges local UK customer proximity with India-based and global engineering delivery centers.
- Accelerate the adoption of outcome-based and ownership-led engagement models across delivery teams.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Experience
- 20+ years of total experience, with a proven track record of holding senior leadership roles in automotive engineering services, customer operations, or high-value strategic delivery programs.
- Demonstrated success managing complex P&L portfolios, driving account growth, and handling multi-million-pound commercial framework negotiations.
- Deeply embedded within the UK automotive ecosystem with a robust, pre-existing network among UK-based OEMs and Tier-1 engineering leaders.
Domain Expertise
- Strong strategic familiarity and prior execution experience in cutting-edge automotive domains, specifically:
- Automotive electronics and embedded systems
- Vehicle software engineering and Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV)
- Electrification and connected vehicle architectures
- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Virtual validation and vehicle platform engineering
