Immigration Associates – Glasgow / Edinburgh / Manchester / Sheffield vacancy
We are recruiting two experienced Immigration Associates, to be based in one of our key UK offices: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester or Sheffield.
About The Role
An exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of CMS UK, as we expand our UK Immigration practice.
We are seeking:
- An Associate (~2-6PQE)
- A Senior Associate (~6PQE+)
You will:
- Advise FTSE 100 companies and household-name clients on all aspects of UK immigration law.
- Work within a supportive, collaborative environment, embedded in our highly ranked Employment Group (over 50 lawyers specialising in UK and global immigration).
Your duties will include: Processing a wide array of immigration matters, such as:
- Day-to-day immigration advice
- Sponsor licence applications and compliance updates
- Visa eligibility assessments
- Business visa support (e.g., Skilled Worker, Global Talent)
- Prevention of illegal working & enforcement advice
- Global mobility & international assignment support
- Corporate immigration compliance (e.g., audits, policy reviews)
- Transaction-related immigration advice
- Business development & client training

About You
You will be a self-motivated, proactive Immigration Associate/Senior Associate with:
- A strong academic background and impeccable record-keeping
- Enthusiasm for rapid development and contributing to team growth
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Outstanding organisational abilities (including navigating frequent UK immigration law changes)
- A personable demeanour and collaborative mindset
