BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER (12 MONTH FTC)

Contract: Government

Location: London / Birmingham - with regular travel

Hours of work: 37.5 hrs per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months


We are seeking a Business Improvement Manager to support us on a high-profile and complex government client account.

This role offers significant visibility, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, improvement, and operational effectiveness across a demanding and fast-paced setting.


Job Description

This is a hands-on, change-focused role where you will lead business improvement initiatives, troubleshoot operational challenges, and help identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.

You will play a key role in ensuring that processes, systems, and performance outcomes continually evolve to meet business and customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business improvement and change initiatives across operational delivery
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to enhance performance
  • Act as a “troubleshooter” to resolve emerging operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Review operational processes and investigate service delivery challenges
  • Analyse root causes of issues and develop actionable recommendations
  • Produce presentations and reports to support senior leadership decision-making
  • Lead and govern transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to improve customer outcomes and commercial performance

About You

  • Proven experience within Facilities Management, supporting senior account leadership with a focus on operational performance and service delivery
  • Experience managing service delivery within complex, customer-focused environments
  • Experience working with and developing CAFM systems
  • Experience within a national operational delivery environment
  • Ability to use management data to monitor performance and identify improvements
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on delivering against targets
  • Highly adaptable with a positive approach to change and innovation
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced analytical capability and attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Full UK driving licence & willingness to travel extensively across the UK
