BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER (12 MONTH FTC)
Contract: Government
Location: London / Birmingham - with regular travel
Hours of work: 37.5 hrs per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
We are seeking a Business Improvement Manager to support us on a high-profile and complex government client account.
This role offers significant visibility, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, improvement, and operational effectiveness across a demanding and fast-paced setting.
Job Description
This is a hands-on, change-focused role where you will lead business improvement initiatives, troubleshoot operational challenges, and help identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.
You will play a key role in ensuring that processes, systems, and performance outcomes continually evolve to meet business and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business improvement and change initiatives across operational delivery
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to enhance performance
- Act as a “troubleshooter” to resolve emerging operational issues quickly and effectively
- Review operational processes and investigate service delivery challenges
- Analyse root causes of issues and develop actionable recommendations
- Produce presentations and reports to support senior leadership decision-making
- Lead and govern transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to improve customer outcomes and commercial performance

About You
- Proven experience within Facilities Management, supporting senior account leadership with a focus on operational performance and service delivery
- Experience managing service delivery within complex, customer-focused environments
- Experience working with and developing CAFM systems
- Experience within a national operational delivery environment
- Ability to use management data to monitor performance and identify improvements
- Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on delivering against targets
- Highly adaptable with a positive approach to change and innovation
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced analytical capability and attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence & willingness to travel extensively across the UK
