Wates Smartspace Recruiting a Business Improvement Manager

Wates Smartspace are recruiting a Business Improvement Manager. The Business Improvement Manager supports the delivery of continuous improvement activity across the Smartspace business. The role focuses on improving how the organisation operates by analysing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working with teams to implement agreed changes that deliver measurable performance, customer, and financial benefits.

Working closely with the Growth & Transformation Director, the role helps translate strategic priorities into practical improvement activity, supports the adoption of change, and contributes to the delivery of sustainable operational improvements aligned to Smartspace's growth ambitions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the identification, development and delivery of business improvement initiatives across Smartspace, aligned to the Growth & Transformation strategy and agreed business priorities.
  • Analyse end-to-end business processes, working with stakeholders to identify root causes of inefficiency or underperformance and supporting the design of practical, improved ways of working using recognised continuous improvement techniques (e.g. Lean, simplification, standardisation).
  • Support the definition and tracking of success measures for improvement initiatives, contributing to the monitoring of KPIs and structured reporting on progress, risks and outcomes to the Growth & Transformation Director and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the successful implementation of change by working with functional leaders and teams to embed new processes, behaviours and systems, helping ensure improvements are understood, adopted and sustained.
  • Support the capture, analysis and translation of internal and external feedback (including customer insight) into actionable improvement activity that enhances customer experience and business performance.
  • Promote and support a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to identify opportunities, share learning and adopt good practice across Smartspace.
