We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to develop reporting solutions, deliver actionable insights, and support data-informed decision-making through advanced analytics and modern business intelligence tools.
Role Overview
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop data models, ensure data quality, and provide insights that support organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting tools with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools.
- Translate business requirements into reporting solutions, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Design and optimize data models to support effective reporting and analysis.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Support evidence-based decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
- Perform advanced analytics, including forecasting, predictive analysis, and trend monitoring.
- Create compelling visualizations and presentations that communicate complex insights effectively.

Data Engineering & Integration
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from multiple internal and external sources.
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Ensure reliable data movement and accessibility across reporting environments.
- Collaborate with technical teams to optimize data architecture and reporting performance.
Data Governance & Quality
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and reliability across reporting solutions.
- Maintain compliance with organizational data governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, business definitions, and user guides.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data quality and reporting processes.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Automate recurring reporting and analytical processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop scalable reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance productivity.
- Support the implementation of new analytical tools and technologies.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business, academic, operational, and technology stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Facilitate discussions to gather requirements and define success metrics.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations for strategic initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Power BI.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and analytical best practices.
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms and modern analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
- Programming experience with Python, R, or similar analytical languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with automation tools and workflow orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI applications in analytics and reporting.
- Understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with large-scale operational or educational datasets.
- Professional certifications in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Microsoft technologies.
