Business Intelligence Consultant (Remote)

Business Intelligence Consultant (Excel) – Remote Contract Position

Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $40 – $50/hour


Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant (Excel) to work on a contract basis, developing, designing, and maintaining Excel-based dashboards and reports for one of our clients. The role involves translating business requirements into Excel solutions to empower data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build interactive Excel dashboards using pivot tables, charts, and slicers for executive reporting.
  • Develop automated Excel workflows using macros and VBA for data processing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements for reporting needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across Excel models and reports.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Excel tools and functionalities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel, including:
    • Advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS)
    • Pivot tables and data validation
  • Experience with Excel macros and VBA for automation and custom functions.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ability to create visually effective charts, graphs, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with data sources (SQL databases, CSV files, ERP systems).
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality, error-free deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
