Business Intelligence Consultant (Contract) – Remote
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Hourly Rate: $40–$50/hour
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant (Excel) to design, develop, and maintain Excel-based dashboards and reports for a client on a contract basis. Your primary role will involve translating business requirements into functional Excel solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and construct interactive Excel dashboards using pivot tables, charts, and slicers for executive reporting.
- Develop automated Excel workflows with macros and VBA for data processing and analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements for reporting needs.
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across Excel models and reports.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Excel tools and functionalities.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including:
- Formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS)
- Pivot tables
- Data validation techniques
- Experience with Excel macros and VBA for automation and custom functions
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret business data and derive actionable insights
- Ability to create visually compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards
- Familiarity with data sources such as:
- SQL databases
- CSV files
- ERP systems (if applicable)
- Attention to detail to deliver error-free, high-quality Excel models
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical teams
