Business Intelligence Consultant (Contract) – Remote

Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Hourly Rate: $40–$50/hour

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant (Excel) to design, develop, and maintain Excel-based dashboards and reports for a client on a contract basis. Your primary role will involve translating business requirements into functional Excel solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and construct interactive Excel dashboards using pivot tables, charts, and slicers for executive reporting.
  • Develop automated Excel workflows with macros and VBA for data processing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements for reporting needs.
  • Maintain data accuracy and consistency across Excel models and reports.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Excel tools and functionalities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including:
    • Formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS)
    • Pivot tables
    • Data validation techniques
  • Experience with Excel macros and VBA for automation and custom functions
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret business data and derive actionable insights
  • Ability to create visually compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards
  • Familiarity with data sources such as:
    • SQL databases
    • CSV files
    • ERP systems (if applicable)
  • Attention to detail to deliver error-free, high-quality Excel models
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical teams
