As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join our in-house IT team.
The Position
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Business Intelligence data infrastructure and platform. You will provide support across Business Applications and contribute to Business Applications projects throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and manage data pipelines, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
- Work with stakeholders to establish and define KPIs and metrics across key business areas.
- Create user-friendly data models and identify opportunities for reuse and new developments.
- Develop dashboards and reports that provide visibility of key business data.
- Ensure the integrity, availability and performance of the Business Intelligence infrastructure.
- Provide technical and functional support for Business Intelligence capabilities and customisations, ensuring users are kept informed of progress.
- Monitor scheduled ETL processes and ensure the platform remains operational.
- Produce ISO reporting where applicable and analyse Business Intelligence data.
- Maintain Business Intelligence documentation, processes and standards.
- Work with third-party suppliers on support and development activities.
- Support Business Applications projects, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, training and implementation.
- Maintain the internal ticketing system and ensure adherence to agreed service levels and company procedures.

About You
You will have:
- Helpdesk or Support Desk experience supporting Microsoft Business Central or Sales Hub, particularly Finance, Sales, Purchase and Warehouse modules.
- Strong knowledge of data querying, transformation and manipulation.
- Experience using SQL, DAX and Python.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and related applications.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
- Experience working with multiple company databases and customised databases.
- Experience supporting or managing changes across multiple Business Central localisations.
- Experience producing functional design and system documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across different functions and levels.
- The ability to work independently, as part of a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach, attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
