Business Intelligence Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric & Power BI)
Hybrid | Permanent | Competitive Salary
I’m currently working with a leading organisation that is looking to hire a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join its internal IT team and play a key role in developing and maintaining its modern data and analytics platform.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data-focused professional with experience across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, ETL, and Business Central to help shape the organisation’s Business Intelligence capabilities and support data-driven decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, reporting solutions, and BI infrastructure, while working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support Business Intelligence solutions.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of Microsoft Fabric across the organisation.
- Develop and optimise data models, reporting solutions, and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Define, develop, and maintain KPIs and reporting metrics across key business functions.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, availability, and quality across the BI platform.
- Monitor BI infrastructure and scheduled data processes, identifying and resolving issues where required.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Data Engineer, BI Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Strong experience developing solutions using Power BI.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in data querying, transformation, and manipulation.
- Experience designing and managing ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Experience working with Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
- Understanding of ERP/business application data and processes.
- Experience creating data models, dashboards, and analytical reporting solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
