Power BI Data Solutions & Business Intelligence Developer
We're looking for a Power BI Data Solutions & Business Intelligence Developer to help shape and enhance the reporting, data and integration capabilities of a growing international organisation.
Working within a collaborative technology team, you'll develop reliable reporting solutions, optimise databases, improve data quality and build integrations that enable smarter business decisions and more efficient operations.
This role suits someone who enjoys combining database development, business intelligence, automation and systems integration while working closely with stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Do
Reporting & Analytics
- Design, develop and maintain business reporting and interactive dashboards.
- Build reporting solutions that provide meaningful operational and strategic insight.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and define measurable business metrics.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, scalable and easy to use.
- Help expand self-service reporting capabilities across the organisation.
Database Development
- Develop, optimise and maintain database objects, queries and procedures.
- Improve database performance, reliability and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot data issues and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Produce clear technical documentation and maintain development standards.
- Support data extraction and transformation processes.

Integration & Automation
- Build and maintain integrations between business applications.
- Develop automated processes that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Support API connectivity, scheduled processing and data synchronisation.
- Monitor integrations and resolve issues affecting data flow or system performance.
Data Quality & Governance
- Help maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency and integrity.
- Develop validation, reconciliation and exception reporting processes.
- Support data migration, transformation and cleansing initiatives.
- Ensure solutions comply with organisational security and governance standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes through better use of data and technology.
- Contribute to enhancement projects and technology initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging tools and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with solid experience in database development and business intelligence who enjoys solving business problems through technology.
You'll ideally have experience with:
- Relational database development
- SQL programming and query optimisation
- Business intelligence and reporting platforms
- Data modelling and database design
- Systems integration and automation
- API connectivity
- Data transformation and migration
- Performance tuning
- Technical documentation
- Working directly with business stakeholders

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience developing database-driven reporting solutions.
- Strong Power BI background.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Experience designing dashboards and analytical reports.
- Understanding of relational databases and data modelling.
- Ability to analyse complex data and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable
- Experience integrating enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of cloud-based business platforms.
- Familiarity with ETL or data pipeline development.
- Experience with automation technologies.
- Exposure to commercial environments involving supply chain, distribution, manufacturing or retail operations.
Success in this role will be measured through:
