Reports to: CIO Function: IT & Operations Industry: Specialist Commercial Insurance
Are you a strategic relationship-builder who can bridge the gap between business and technology? Our specialty insurance client is looking for a Business Relationship Director to join a leading specialist commercial insurer, acting as the trusted link between their Claims, Finance & Actuarial/Risk business areas and our IT & Operations function.
What you'll do:
- Be the go-to point of contact between senior business leaders and IT & Operations for strategy, innovation and service delivery
- Shape and influence Operations, IT and Facilities strategy in line with business goals
- Partner with leadership to identify high-value needs and build compelling business cases
- Lead cross-functional teams through solution delivery and issue resolution
- Own business budgets and drive smart, high-impact investment decisions
- Represent the business voice in technology conversations — and vice versa
- Deliver regular reporting and insight to senior stakeholders

What you'll bring:
- Strong understanding of specialty insurance products, operating models and business processes - non negotiable
- A blend of technology fluency and business acumen
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Experience in business partnering, business transformation or process management
- Project management / Agile experience preferred
