Business Lecturer

Business Lecturer (Fixed-Term) – BTEC London

Are you passionate about empowering the next generation of skilled professionals? Join Capital City College, one of the UK’s largest further education (FE) colleges, as a Business Lecturer in our Tottenham & Enfield Centre, London.

About the Role

As a Business Lecturer, you will inspire and support BTEC learners as they pursue careers in business, finance, and enterprise. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (until 3rd July 2027) and is ideal for experienced educators, newly qualified teachers (NQTs), or business professionals making the leap into education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality BTEC Business teaching aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Encouraging student progression, whether into higher education or employment
  • Supporting curriculum development and teaching innovation
  • Providing academic, pastoral, and career guidance to students

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Proven teaching experience in Business Education (lecturing, curriculum mapping, or industry expertise)
  • Strong knowledge of BTEC Business programmes (NCFE/QCF Level 2/3)
  • Exceptional communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, learner-centred teaching
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a willingness to obtain one if required
  • Ability to inspire diverse learners across various ability levels

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience in vocational education or partnerships with local businesses
  • Ninja-level organisational skills and enthusiasm for curriculum evolution
