Business Manager, Europe

Business Manager, Europe (UK-Based) – Remote

Our partner company, a sustainability-focused organization, seeks a Business Manager to support financial operations, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional teams in a fast-growing, internationally impactful company.

This remote (UK-based) role combines finance, project coordination, operational excellence, and stakeholder management, offering broad exposure to enhance business growth. Ideal for a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about sustainability, operational efficiency, and strategic innovation.


Accountabilities

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Supplier & Contract Management

    • Coordinate supplier onboarding, ensuring all documentation is completed to integrate them into financial and operational systems.
    • Lead procurement processes, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor collaboration.
  • Financial Operations & Compliance

    • Support accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, working closely with finance teams to ensure timely payments and collections.
    • Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, partnering with leadership to drive data-backed strategy.
    • Develop financial models and analytical reports to track business performance and support decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls, promoting strong governance.

  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and standardize business processes for scalability and efficiency.
    • Act as a trusted business partner to executive leadership, finance, sales, and operations, delivering insights and mitigating risks.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, operations, or similar roles.
  • Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in ERP systems (preferably Epicor or similar) and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, energy, construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments is preferred.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to collaborate across departments and present to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated operational and financial control knowledge, with a focus on compliance and process optimization.
  • High professionalism, discretion, and integrity—ideal for handling confidential information.
