The Role: Business Manager – Frontline Business Performance & Delivery
The value you’ll add
As a Business Manager within the Frontline Business Performance and Delivery Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the management, growth, and governance of Frontline Teams across Relationship Banking, Strategic Fund Solutions, and the Chief Commercial Office in the UK Innovation Bank.
This is a dynamic mid-level role, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career.You’ll contribute to driving the Frontline Business agenda forward by delivering key business activities, including:
- FTE and budget management
- Governance and risk oversight
- Strategic planning
- Problem-solving and adaptability

Key Responsibilities
Business Reporting & Analysis
- Respond to ad hoc requests for presentation development, business analysis, and reporting
- Prepare and deliver key reports for:
- Business management
- Executive Committee (ExCo)
- Committees
- Board (e.g., Client & Market Update)
Information Management
- Organise complex information in a clear, strategic, and accessible way
- Prepare materials for townhalls and internal communications
Headcount & Financial Management
- Own headcount reporting and tracking, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with Finance to interpret and communicate monthly financials
Governance & Risk
- Oversee business controls and contribute to the governance framework
- Support periodic audits, regulatory, and compliance activities
- Proactively resolve issues as they arise on behalf of the business
Process Improvement
- Work with team members to simplify, improve, and add value to existing processes
- Drive key initiatives to optimise business performance
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent Frontline Teams in internal forums
- Serve as a delegate for the Head of Frontline Business Performance & Delivery as needed
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and senior management across functions.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel (with Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.

Innovation Mindset: Demonstrable knowledge of the Innovation Economy (e.g., fintech, startups, emerging trends).

Resilience & Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple priorities, ambiguity, and challenging situations.

Time Management: Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-Motivation: Tenacious, proactive, and capable of independent work Takes responsibility for outcomes and drives results.
Preferred Criteria
- A track record of managing business risk and governance activities
- Prior experience in a business management role
Where you’ll be based
Based at our home office in Finsbury Square, London, we encourage hybrid working, allowing you to flex between office and home. The current requirement is 2 days per week on-site.
