Business Manager – Dispute Resolution
We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Manager to join our Dispute Resolution department.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work alongside the Head of Department, Partners and Business Services leaders to shape strategy, drive performance and help the department achieve its ambitions. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, influencing senior stakeholders and making a tangible impact, this could be the perfect opportunity.
The opportunity
As Business Manager, you'll help the department grow by turning strategic priorities into practical plans that support sustainable growth, strong financial performance and the continued development of our people. You'll work across workforce planning, talent development and engagement initiatives, helping to create an environment where colleagues can build skills, deepen expertise and achieve their potential.
You'll also play a key role in helping the department create lasting impact. Working closely with finance, business development and legal teams, you'll use insight, data and commercial thinking to support decision-making, improve operational performance and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients in increasingly complex and fast-moving markets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
