Job Profile Summary: Senior Business Manager (Requisition ID: TBC)
Location: Remote* (*or primary hubs in London, NYC, Hong Kong)
As a Senior Business Manager in the Veteran Transition Programme, you’ll support business development initiatives, oversee research outsourcing, and drive strategic alignment. Your responsibilities include proposal development, vendor management, and budget stewardship. Critically, you’ll provide analytical impact assessment and guidance to business stakeholders across operations and trading units.

Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Project Management
- Translate strategic business objectives into actionable, time-bound plans.
- Conduct regular progress evaluations with Research, Technology, Compliance and Stakeholders to assess project feasibility and resource alignment.
- Provide monthly reporting to prioritise projects and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimise project prioritisation and budget allocation.
- Liaise with leadership on business planning and financial strategy.
Research Services Provider Management
- Host relationship management for third-party research vendors in the UK, New York and Hong Kong (internal/externally).
- Initiate new vendor agreements and oversee existing contracts.
- Negotiate fees, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Monitor spend to eliminate budget overruns and prevent service overlap.
- Rationalise providers to reduce costs where viable.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Commercial, and Legal for contract review.
- Code and approve research invoices and reports for internal workflows.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-ranked university with a strong academic record.
Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business management, operations, or a similar field.
- Proven track record of project leadership or workstream execution.
- Experience working with senior management to define priorities.
- Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel for modelling/analysis, PowerPoint for presentations).
