Our client is a Series B marketplace business headquartered in London, connecting skilled tradespeople with homeowners and property managers across the UK. With the following achievements:

The business is at a pivotal scale growth stage, with a focus on investing in operational systems and processes to support efficient scaling. Backed by a leading European growth equity firm, the company has the following ambitious goals:
- Reaching £50m ARR within 24 months
- Expanding into two new European markets
The Role
As Business Operations Manager, you will serve as the connective tissue ensuring the business operates effectively during critical scaling growth phases. Reporting directly to the COO, this role encompasses:
- A broad portfolio of operational priorities
- Process design, tool implementation, and cross-functional project management
- Performance reporting and operational excellence
This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for problem-solvers who thrive in ambiguous environments and enjoy building systems from scratch.

Responsibilities (What You'll Do)

Operational Process Improvement:
- Identify operational bottlenecks across Sales, Supply, Customer Success, and Finance
- Design scalable processes to address these bottlenecks

Project Management:
- Lead and manage cross-functional improvement projects from:
- Initial scoping and stakeholder alignment
- Implementation planning
- Results tracking

Operational Oversight:
- Own the company’s operating cadence, including:
- OKR (Objectives and Key Results) tracking
- Weekly leadership reviews
- Quarterly planning cycles

Data and Reporting:
- Collaborate with department heads to build and maintain operational dashboards
- Ensure dashboards surface the critical metrics driving the business

COO Support:
- Assist the COO on special projects, including:
- Market expansion planning
- Vendor selection processes
- Outsourcing decisions

Requirements (What We're Looking For)

Experience (4–7 years):
- In business operations
- As management consultant
- In a Chief of Staff role within a fast-growing company

Skills:
- Strong project management能力, comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Ability to hold people accountable to deadlines

Compensation & Benefits
Financial Offering:
- Base salary: £70,000 – £90,000, based on experience
- Annual performance bonus, aligned with company-wide success
