About the Role
Indigo Signs & Print, a busy and well-established signage and print business based at St Cross Business Park, Newport, is seeking an experienced Business & Operations Manager to drive day-to-day operations and guide business growth as they expand.
The Role
The Business & Operations Manager will handle core responsibilities, including:
- Primary point of contact for the business, reporting directly to the Director
- Managing client relationships with the NHS, Isle of Wight Council, and walk-in clients
- Quoting jobs using ShopVox
- Organising production schedules and coordinating with the workshop team to maintain smooth workflow and hit deadlines
- Ordering materials and maintaining supplier relationships while balancing reliability, cost efficiency, and service standards
- Financial oversight, including invoicing, budgeting, pricing decisions, and debtor control
- Leading and supporting a small team while identifying opportunities to improve processes

Requirements
Skills and experience we seek:
- Solid knowledge of signage/print production, materials, and processes — experienced with both tried-and-tested methods and innovative approaches
- Familiarity with ShopVox (or quoting/customer relationship systems) — preferred
- Work experience in budget management, invoicing, or financial oversight
- Organisational skills with a calm, solution-driven approach
- Strong team leader who can motivate employees without unnecessary pressure
- Effective rapport-building with clients and suppliers, with critical judgment in communicating needs
