About the Role
Business Operations Manager at Deel will play a critical role in enabling operations across your defined location. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
This role requires strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to navigate complex business environments. Depending on the market, responsibilities may include:
- Managing local relationships
- Working with government entities

Summary:
As a Business Operations Manager, your primary job is to:
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives that support Deel’s global expansion and operational growth.
- Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable solutions across various functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Product, People, Compliance) to streamline workflows and foster continuous improvement.
- Support the formulation of goal setting, performance tracking, and strategic planning to align operations with business objectives.
Responsibilities

Lead and execute strategic initiatives supporting Deel’s global expansion and operational growth.

Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and optimize workflows across functions like payroll, HR, compliance, benefits, and equipment management.

Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Product, People, Compliance) to streamline workflows and drive continuous process improvement.

Support goal setting, performance tracking, and strategic planning to ensure operational alignment with business objectives.

Oversee operational requirements related to local labor, commercial, or industry-specific regulations.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and issue resolution.

Support contract execution, business licensing processes, and inspection or audit readiness wherever applicable.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key local partners and authorities to streamline actionable operations.

Access and interpret large datasets to inform strategic decisions and drive improvements.

Provide performance insights and regular reporting to leadership teams.

Contribute to business reviews by tracking key metrics and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, investment banking, or similar fast-paced, high-impact roles.
- Strong track record of operational process design, implementation, and optimization.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in handling complex data analysis.

Salary Ranges:
- Salary figures are quoted in USD for consistency as a global reference.
- Your actual salary will be localized to your country’s currency based on market expectations.

- Some roles are eligible for commission (On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and performance-based income).
