The Business Operations Manager

The Business Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for supporting the Head of Business Line (HoBL) in driving the effective leadership, performance and execution of the New Build Business Line strategy and operational objectives. Acting as a key partner to the Head of BL, the Business Operations Manager provides leadership across business operations, commercial performance, customer engagement and delivery oversight to ensure the successful execution of Business Line priorities. The role plays a critical part in enabling sustainable growth through the increase of Order Intake (OiT), revenue and Operating Income, whilst supporting operational excellence and the delivery of strategic business outcomes. The Business Operations Manager will champion Framatome’s values and culture and actively drive initiatives focused on improving efficiency, reducing lead times and enhancing overall business performance. Working cross-functionally, the Business Line Lead will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Functional Leaders, Commercial teams, Customers and wider stakeholders to ensure alignment, effective decision-making and successful delivery across the Business Line portfolio. The role requires the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence across a broad remit, spanning operational leadership, commercial negotiations, contract management, business development and strategic execution. The Business Operations Manager will act as deputy to the Head of Business Line, assuming leadership responsibilities during periods of absence, competing priorities or delegated authority, representing the Business Line internally and externally as required. While direct ownership of the Business Line P&L remains with the Head of BL, the Business Operations Manager will hold accountability for the execution and delivery of delegated objectives, ensuring activities are delivered safely, commercially and operationally in line with agreed business targets, governance requirements and customer expectations.

About the Role

The Business Operations Manager will work closely:

  • With Project Managers to support the successful delivery of projects and customer commitments;
  • With functional managers to support effective resource planning, workload management and capability development;
  • With commercial and sales teams to support business development activities, tender preparation and contract negotiations;
  • With QHSE teams to promote a strong safety, quality and continuous improvement culture;
  • With finance and project controls teams to support reporting, forecasting and performance monitoring activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
