About Community Action Suffolk

Community Action Suffolk (CAS) is the county’s infrastructure organisation for the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. We ensure our sector — and its volunteers — are supported, safe, and sustainable, helping communities thrive and remain active and resilient.

Our values — collaborative, enabling, person-centred, responsive, and trusted — shape our work and influence how we engage with our communities.

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Partnership Officer to join our Capacity Building team, working on a National Lottery-funded project.

Key Purpose: You will support Suffolk’s VCFSE community to:

  • Access public and private sector partnerships
  • Strengthen business models and financial resilience
  • Represent CAS as an ambassador to enable and support communities across Suffolk

Key Responsibilities:

  • Broker partnerships across VCFSE, public, and private sector organisations—strengthening collaboration for resilient communities.
  • Support organisational development by guiding VCFSE groups to review their business models, sustainability, and financial strategies.
  • Design and build support resources such as training materials, presentations, and engagement tools to empower communities.
  • Engage ambitiously with partners, volunteers, and grassroots organisations to build trust and embolden local action.

  • Regular travel across Suffolk is required to engage with communities, partners, and stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
