Location: Brightspace, Ipswich or Kirkley Centre, Lowestoft Regular travel around Suffolk required.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Business Partnership Officer to join an exciting project funded by the National Lottery. Working within our Capacity Building team, your role will focus on strengthening partnerships between VCFSE organisations, public, and private sector stakeholders, whilst providing organisational development support to improve financial resilience across Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships between VCFSE, public, and private sector organisations to strengthen communities in Suffolk.
  • Broker relationships to facilitate collaboration, ensuring tailored support aligns with sector needs.
  • Provide business model reviews and financial resilience audits for VCFSE organisations, offering guidance to improve sustainability.
  • Act as a CAS ambassador, engaging with stakeholders to:
    • Design and build support resources, training materials, and presentations.
    • Enforce together and nurture innovative solutions that enable and empower communities.
  • Foster strong communicator skills, demonstrating:
    • Excellency in written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
    • A proactive, engaging approach—listening actively, providing clear and articulate support to diverse groups.
  • Operate confidently as a salesperson, building rapport with:
    • Race, ethnicity, disability, sexuality/sexual orientation, gender, lifestyle choice and religion beliefs.
    • Families of all forms, ages, interests, backgrounds, and mental health needs.
  • Exhibit flexibility, resourcefulness, and autonomous self-management of a fast-paced workload.

Requirements

  • A passion for developing and supporting the VCFSE sector in Suffolk.
  • Strong engagement, communication, and teamworking skills—ideal for leading relationships.
  • The ability to translate ministerial/market priorities into VCFSE-relevant support.
  • Experience or enthusiasm for:
    • Community isolation & health disadvantage topics.
    • Partnering within multi-disciplinary networks and ensuring equitable engagement.
  • Strong presentation and written skills to visually convey information effectively.
