The Role

We are currently hiring for a Business Relationship Director in our London office. This is a senior, highly strategic role responsible for partnering with key business areas including Claims, Finance and Actuarial/Risk, ensuring that IT & Operations delivers aligned, high-impact outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strategic partnership: Act as the primary point of contact between business units and IT & Operations, aligning technology delivery with business goals.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build and influence strong relationships with senior business leaders, ensuring alignment on priorities, strategy and outcomes.
  • Demand shaping: Identify, prioritise and develop high-value business initiatives, supporting business case development and solution design.
  • Service delivery oversight: Ensure optimal service levels across IT & Operations, acting as an escalation point and resolving performance or service challenges.
  • Leadership & collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, bringing together business and technical stakeholders to deliver solutions and improvements.
  • Communication & reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on plans, performance and operational outcomes across assigned areas.
  • Innovation & insight: Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational and business performance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Business acumen: Strong understanding of insurance operations, business processes and strategic priorities.
  • Technology awareness: Knowledge of IT capabilities and how to leverage them to deliver business value.
  • Stakeholder management: Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders across business and technology functions.
  • Communication skills: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Strategic thinking: Experience advising at senior level, shaping direction and influencing key decisions.
  • Delivery focus: Strong programme and project management capability, with experience handling multiple priorities.
  • Relationship building: Ability to establish trust and collaboration across functions in a matrix environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Awareness of market trends and ability to bring forward innovative ideas and solutions.
