Atos Group Security is the global cybersecurity backbone of Atos, a leading digital transformation provider. Its mission is to protect Atos’ people, data, infrastructure, and clients through a unified, proactive, and resilient security framework. Reporting under the Group CSO/CISO, the organisation spans multiple domains, including corporate IT, production systems, health & safety, crisis management, and security compliance.

Structured under a robust governance model, the team consists of dedicated CISOs across business lines and geographies, supported by specialized units in threat intelligence, incident response (CSIRT), and security operations (SOC). Made up of over 100 professionals globally, the team operates on a balanced onshore/offshore model.

What We Do

  • Strategic Security Leadership: Defining and executing the Group’s security strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory frameworks like ISO27001 and NIS2
  • Operational Excellence: Managing over 2,000 security incidents annually without material impact, through layered defences, red teaming, and continuous monitoring.
  • Client Trust & Compliance: Embedding security into Atos’ services, ensuring data protection, and supporting sovereignty and compliance initiatives.
  • Innovation & Resilience: Leveraging AI, advanced SIEM, and partnerships with vendors such as Microsoft, CrowdStrike, and Tenable to combat evolving threats.

Role Summary

This role is part of the UK & Ireland (UKI) Group Security Team, reporting to the UKI CISO. The incumbent will:

  • Implement information security policies throughout the UKI perimeter, working with local team leads, global CISOs, BSOs (Business Security Officers), and ITSOs (Information Technology Security Officers).
  • Coordinate assigned Business Line security operations (network, servers, desktop, applications) within the UKI perimeter, liaising with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and report local security risks for Internal IT/Production IT/Business Line solutions and services.
  • Contribute to Group security targets defined for Atos.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), recommending improvements to enhance security.
  • Qualify and report on security events and incidents while ensuring proper Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Participate in risk remediation, incident response, and crisis management.
  • Collaborate with other security officers on implementing and maintaining appropriate security controls.
  • Work on local and Global Projects and contribute to security domain initiatives.
  • Ensure the ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) is maintained, aligned with policy, standards, and procedures/procedures.
  • Cascade ISMS policies, procedures, and standards within the area of responsibility and ensure compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits, addressing any findings with actionable plans and monitoring compliance.
  • Manage exception requests for risk controls, identifying and documenting mitigating measures while escalating risks outside risk appetite to leadership.
  • Develop and disseminate security good practice guides and awareness briefings; cascade policy updates.
  • Respond to incidents and security investigations, preparing objective reports.
  • Provide advice and guidance on security measures for site builds or reconfigurations, tailored to threat levels and usage.
  • Assist in customer bids where required.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess and resolve IT vulnerabilities comprehensively.
  • Review and act on national cybersecurity alerts from the NCSC and external bodies.
  • Ensure new corporate business services/applications comply with Atos Policies and possess required security controls.
  • Oversee secure disposal procedures for sensitive data.
  • Involve in security training programs, reporting metrics, and maintaining attendance logs.
  • Support Management Review activities, analysing data, presenting input slides, and implementing improvements.
  • Proactively identify and promote improvements to Group Security and UKI ISMS policies/processes/templates.

Requirements

  • Understand security tools and techniques.
  • Experience in conducting security reviews and determining measures aligned with threat levels and site usage.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders and senior managers.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Willingness to travel when required—within UKI geographic boundaries and potentially to other regions.

Essential Criteria – Security Clearance Eligibility

  • Must have continuously lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years for Security Clearance eligibility.
