An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for committed and flexible individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Starting Point Team.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and requires the ability to work as part of a team to meet deadlines.
What does a Business Services Assistant in the Starting Point Team do?
- Gathering and Inputting information onto a bespoke client database
- Supporting operational staff
- Taking calls on the professional advice line and signposting
- Working alongside a dedicated team of professionals supporting the front-door services for Children’s Services
Working arrangements in the 2 days per week for office-based for the full-time posts and 1 day a week for the part-time post Team. The team is based at County Hall in Matlock.

What we expect from our applicants:
- Someone who can provide a timely and confident response to professionals and clients via the telephone and other communication methods.
- Confident in using ICT and bespoke systems.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to our service changes.
- Ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.
- Ability to interpret information and analyze data.
- Be able to assist and support with streamlining processes.
- Have an understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and Data Protection.
- Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
- Enthusiasm and transferable skills.
