IT Business & Solutions Architect

The role

An international insurance organisation is seeking an experienced IT Business & Solutions Architect to support a major IT transformation programme. This role bridges business strategy and technology delivery, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned with organisational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders, Product Owners, the PMO, internal IT teams (UK and US), and outsourced development partners, you will translate business requirements into architectural designs and technology solutions.
  • You will lead end-to-end solution design, define integration strategies across enterprise platforms, and ensure compliance with architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • The role also involves contributing to the IT strategy and roadmap, participating in architecture governance forums, and providing technical guidance to project teams and external providers.

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, capability mapping, and enterprise integration.
  • Experience with technologies such as MuleSoft, .NET, cloud infrastructure, SQL Server, and UML is desirable.
  • You will bring strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the confidence to influence across technical and business teams in a complex international environment.
