About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Your day centred around supporting Great British Railways (GBR)’s design for Governance, Risk, Assurance, and Business Change, including:

Facilitating GBR design workshops to develop strategic solutions for future ways of working.

Working in a core team of four (part of broader GBR/Network Rail/GRA synergies).

Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes.

Stakeholder engagement: Assessing current approaches and proposing evolutionary changes across GBR business models.

Managed and led focused, solution-oriented workshops on technical, process, and change-related topics.

Proactive problem-solving: Identifying opportunities, driving momentum, and collaborating towards defined goals.

Operate independently for GBR, while supporting DFTO (Department for Transport) and future Train Operating Companies.
Team Culture
- Responsible for risk/assurance, business change, and process improvement.
- Analysis of challenges, stakeholder alignment, and embedding scalable solutions.
- Leadership: Mentor peers, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

What We Look For
This multi-faceted role demands:
Essential Experience
- Strategic business mindset + executive change management expertise
- Stakeholder engagement: Proven ability to influence cross-functional audiences
- Workshop facilitation, requirements analysis, and process optimization
- Project management, risk assurance, and change leadership (enterprise-level preferred)
- Proficiency in project tools, including full-suite MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Evidence-based practice: Comfortable challenging with data/information
