About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Your day centred around supporting Great British Railways (GBR)’s design for Governance, Risk, Assurance, and Business Change, including:

  • Facilitating GBR design workshops to develop strategic solutions for future ways of working.

  • Working in a core team of four (part of broader GBR/Network Rail/GRA synergies).

  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Assessing current approaches and proposing evolutionary changes across GBR business models.

  • Managed and led focused, solution-oriented workshops on technical, process, and change-related topics.

  • Proactive problem-solving: Identifying opportunities, driving momentum, and collaborating towards defined goals.

  • Operate independently for GBR, while supporting DFTO (Department for Transport) and future Train Operating Companies.

Team Culture

  • Responsible for risk/assurance, business change, and process improvement.
  • Analysis of challenges, stakeholder alignment, and embedding scalable solutions.
  • Leadership: Mentor peers, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency in project tools, including full-suite MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Evidence-based practice: Comfortable challenging with data/information
