The Company
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, specialist engineering business based in Co. Antrim. With nearly 20 years in the industry, they have built a strong reputation across the UK and Ireland.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position covering purchase ledger, credit control, and general office administration. No two days are the same - and you’ll have real ownership of your workload from day one.
What You Will Do
Purchase Ledger & Accounts
- Process purchase invoices, receipts, and supplier payments through Sage
- Match goods received notes (GRNs) against supplier invoices and purchase orders
- Reconcile supplier statements against the ledger to catch missing or incorrect invoices
- Handle supplier queries and payment disputes professionally
- Accurate data entry across purchase accounts for materials, components, and services

Administration
- Answer and direct incoming telephone and email enquiries
- General office administration, filing and document management
- Support management with day-to-day administrative duties
What We Are Looking For
- Confident telephone manner — comfortable making outbound calls to chase payments
- Previous experience in an accounts, purchase ledger, or office administration role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Familiarity with purchase order (PO) systems and matching invoices to GRNs
- Experience with Sage or a similar accounts package (desirable but not essential)
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

The Package
- £27,000 – £30,000 per annum depending on experience
- Monday – Thursday 08:30–17:00, Friday 08:30–14:30
- Full-time, permanent contract
- Fully office-based, Co. Antrim
