Business Support Administrator
You will join a supportive and welcoming Business Support team within our Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP) Health Team.
You will work closely with clinical and operational colleagues, be fully trained in our systems and processes, and be supported to develop your skills and progress your career.

About the Role
The Business Support Administrator plays a key role within the Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP) Health Team, providing high-quality administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of services.
The post-holder will manage and coordinate a high volume of communications, including telephone calls and emails, acting as a central point of contact while working closely with partner organisations.
This is a fast-paced and demanding role that requires excellent administrative skills, strong communication, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, using initiative to manage competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met . They must demonstrate sound judgement, particularly when handling sensitive information and knowing when to escalate issues to Safeguarding Advisors.

The role also involves building and maintaining effective working relationships across multiple agencies, whilst upholding strict confidentiality standards.
Due to the nature of the work, the post-holder will be exposed to information relating to potential harm and risk to children, requiring professionalism, resilience, and a compassionate approach at all times.
The role will be based in Woking, Surrey, with some flexibility for home working.
Main Responsibilities
- Screen and process referrals and Multi-Agency Partnership Enquiries (MAPE), ensuring correct allocation to relevant professionals
- Prioritise incoming work, identifying and escalating urgent safeguarding concerns in line with procedures
- Accurately record, maintain, and cross-reference data using clinical systems and NHS Spine
- Liaise with partner agencies to request and share information, supporting multi-agency working
- Provide signposting advice to the public on health and support services
- Maintain databases, update records, and support data quality through regular cleansing activities
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and letters
- Support meetings through scheduling, minute-taking, and distribution of documentation
- Coordinate administrative processes for safeguarding activities (e.g. strategy meetings, case conferences, MARAC), ensuring records and actions are logged and communicated
- Order supplies and provide general administrative support across the team
- Provide flexible support to the wider safeguarding team and undertake additional duties as required
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Good general education to at least GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Administrative experience in a busy, customer facing environment
- Excellent customer services skills
- Accurate and efficient keyboard skills
- High levels of computer literacy – to include a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good telephone manner
- Polite and helpful customer service skills
- Ability to work with discretion, sensitivity and maintain confidentiality
- Good planning and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload in busy environment
